Volunteer Code of Conduct

1. Introduction

Volunteers play a vital role in the work of Independent Youth Volunteer Support CIC (IYVS). This code outlines the expected standards of behaviour.

2. As a Volunteer, You Agree To:

• Treat all individuals with respect, fairness, and dignity
• Promote a safe and positive environment
• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection rules
• Report concerns or misconduct promptly
• Work cooperatively with staff, partners, and fellow volunteers

3. Professional Conduct

• Do not represent IYVS without authorisation
• Avoid conflicts of interest
• Do not accept gifts or benefits for services provided

4. Disciplinary Action

Breaches of this code may result in removal from volunteering activities.

5. Support and Supervision

Volunteers will receive guidance and support relevant to their role.
